Adding files to the media library is the most convenient way to provide publishers with contents. The advantages are that you use the same copy of a media file wherever you publish it and do not need to keep trace of this file on multiple playlists or channels. Additionally, the file is at the publisher's fingertips when needed and so potentially saves time in the publishing process.
To add files to the media library is as easy as this:
- Once you are logged in to Smartsign Display Manager, click on CONTENTS in the Menu Bar.
- Navigate to the folder that you want to upload media to or create a new one by clicking on NEW FOLDER. (Depending on your user rights and user profile you might not be able to add media to all available folders. Contact your Site Admin for further information.)
Once you have opened the folder of your choice you can create subfolders, upload media files, add channels, URLs and more by using the Task Buttons on the bottom Taskbar of the web interface.
